Informative Notice to Bitterroot System Customers – Change in Water Source
August 29th Gem State experienced a mechanical failure on the primary well supporting Bitterroot system customers (Highway 95 west to Clagstone, Parks Rd south to Brunner Rd and Turk Ln). In response to this event, Gem State placed a new well into service for the first time. Customers are being notified of this change in water source.
What does this mean?
Customers in the area are now being supplied with water from a new well (water source). Until recently, water in your area was supplied by two groundwater wells. A third well was recently constructed and has been placed in the mode of primary supply while mechanical repairs are being made to one of the other units.
What should I do?
- No action is required by customers. You are receiving this message as public notification of the change in water source.
