Notice of Meter Replacement

Scheduled Dates: April 29-30, 2026
Gem State Water will be conducting scheduled irrigation meter replacements in the Diamond Bar Estates Water System beginning Wednesday, April 29th at 8:00am through Thursday, April 30th, 2026.
As part of a broader upgrade effort and to standardize with previously installed meter technology on water services, we will be installing utility-owned radio-read water meters on irrigation services. The upgraded radio-read meters provide several improvements such as improved accuracy, remote meter reading, faster leak detection, and more efficient bill processing.
What This Means for You
During this work:
- Gem State Water crews will access your irrigation meter location
- New irrigation meters will be installed, and irrigation water services will be turned on
Customer Responsibilities
To ensure smooth installation:
- Backflow Device Placement:
Please ensure your backflow assembly is correctly installed to the customer side irrigation plumbing and accessible for installation.
- Backflow Testing:
Verify that your backflow test is current and new testing records are sent to info@gemstate-water.com. If testing is overdue, please complete it as soon as possible.
Existing Irrigation Meters
Customers may choose to:
- Retain their old irrigation meter, or
- Request that Gem State Water dispose of it
If you would like your meter returned, please notify us in advance or leave a note at the meter location.
If you have any concerns, access issues, or special instructions, please contact us ahead of the scheduled work.
