Customer of the Gem State – Troy Hoffman Water System
On August 1, 2025 customers of the Troy Hoffman system were notified of a unplanned depressurization event in the local system serving their 150 homes in the area near Coeur D Alene High School Bordered by E Dalton Ave, N Fourth St, E Margaret Ave, and N 15th St.
What caused this issue?
The pressure drop occurred following an unexpected motor shut down in the well supplying this area. The issue was quickly resolved before required testing was completed to ensure the safety of local drinking water.
Is your water safe to drink?
Yes, multiple lab tests were performed to ensure water in this area meets safety requirements. Sample results can be found under the water quality tab online at www.gemstate-water.com.
