A two-day planned water service interruption is scheduled in your area

Who: Customers in the Lynwood Estates neighborhood, in Athol from Roberts Rd. to E Trynity Ln., including N. Roberts Rd., and E Jensen Ln.
When: Monday May 11th at 9:00 AM – Tuesday May 12th 2026 at 7:00 PM
Bottled drinking water and temporary restrooms will be available for affected customers at the intersection of E. Trinity Ln and Roberts Rd.
Why: In response to recent sedimentation/brown water issues in the drinking water system, crews will be making well equipment upgrades to improve system performance and reliability and reduce future outages
What to Expect:
- Prepare for water service to be shut off during the two-day window above
- Bottled drinking water, portable restrooms and hand washing stations will be available for customer use at the intersection of E. Trinity Ln. and Roberts Rd.
- You may notice periods of returning water pressure during the shutdown window.
- Gem State Water crews and contractors will be working in the area.
- You may notice air in the lines or temporary discoloration when the service is restored. This is normal. Flush your lines for up to 15-30 minutes after service is restored if you notice discoloration
- Crews will work to restore service as quickly and safely as possible
