The following notice was sent to customers that have filed a comment directly to the Washington Utilities & Transportation Commission regarding Cascadia Water’s proposed rate case. We are sending a copy of this notice to all customers we have an email address on file for, on behalf of the WUTC, to bring awareness to an upcoming virtual customer meeting:
On Feb. 29, 2024. Cascadia Water Company (Cascadia) filed a general rate case with the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission (Commission) for an overall revenue increase of 75 percent effective June 1, 2024. On May 15, 2024, Commission staff will hold a virtual informal customer outreach meeting to answer questions regarding the general rate case filed by Cascadia. Commission staff will make themselves available to answer questions regarding the filing process, Open Meeting schedule, comments, rate review process, and questions about the rate review. We cannot discuss assertions about wrongdoing by the company or any other party. Additionally, we will not discuss questions about legality and staff will not discuss questions about suspending the filing. You can include your concerns in written comments you submit for this case.
